Scoring has been cancelled for this game. My apologies but MLB.TV was a half inning late starting this game. Good thing this is only preseason!

With the start of Spring Training upon us, it’s time to look for our good story of the spring and the hope is that Pat Neshek will be this story. Early word from the Twins spring complex is that Neshek is ready to go and has his velocity back on his pitches. Pat said that he’s still getting used to how the arm feels after the Tommy John surgery but he has no discomfort and has been able to throw pain free. He’s even broken a couple of batters bats in the past couple of days and Mauer even had to remind Pat that spring is just starting. This could be a great sign, if Neshek can return to the bullpen in his previous form that would be a huge boost to the Twins bullpen in short relief. We will keep you updated on Pat’s spring.
Jose Mijares has finally arrived to the Twins spring training facility in Florida on Monday evening. After a hair gel incident, which caused Mijares to miss his Sunday flight, he was able to catch a flight on Monday to get him to the Twins facility in time for Tuesday’s workouts. Reports are that Mijares is in the same physical shape as when he left the team at the end of the season in 2009, which would be a big improvement from Spring Training 2009 when Mijares was out of shape and had Gardenhire questioning him making the roster. Let’s hope for an improved spring from Mijares!
